National Tesco listing for ready-to-serve spirit and mixer cans, including NEW RedLeg Pineapple Rum and Franklin & Sons Original Ginger Ale

This week, we will be launching three premium, ready-to-serve (RTS) cans into Tesco stores nationwide. Rolling out across 475 stores, the highly anticipated RedLeg Pineapple Rum & Franklin & Sons Original Ginger Ale will be launching alongside existing RTS lines; RedLeg Spiced Rum & Franklin & Sons 1886 Cola and Manchester Raspberry Gin & Franklin & Sons Sicilian Lemon Tonic.

Whilst the latter two combinations already experience success in our RTS range, RedLeg Pineapple Rum and Franklin & Sons Original Ginger Ale is a brand-new addition. Since the launch of RedLeg Spiced Rum & F&S 1886 Cola last September, spiced and flavoured rums continue to see the strongest growth in the spirits category, experiencing +12% value growth YoY in the Off Trade.[1]

Therefore, marrying RedLeg Pineapple Rum with Franklin & Sons Original Ginger Ale became a natural progression for both brands. RedLeg Caramelised Pineapple Rum is made by blending the best rums from the Caribbean and leaving them to rest in oak barrels before infusing with Jamaican vanilla, ginger and 100% natural pineapple flavours in celebration of traditional hospitality and friendship in the Caribbean. It makes the perfect partner to our Original Ginger Ale, creating a 5% ABV pairing with sweet caramelised pineapple balanced with the subtle warmth of steeped ginger to finish.

Convenience and on-the-go consumption are trends which retailers are seeing more demand for, making RTS cans a popular format, with preferences for premium products particularly driving the category.[2] Our RTS cans offer the ability to enjoy a perfect spirit and mixer pairing anywhere, anytime, without compromising on taste or quality.

RedLeg Pineapple Rum & Franklin & Sons Original Ginger Ale will be joined on Tesco shelves by RedLeg Spiced Rum & Franklin & Sons 1886 Cola nationally, with Manchester Raspberry Gin & Franklin & Sons Sicilian Lemon Tonic rolling out exclusively across the North.
