VK Pear Wins Best RTD

VK Pear was named the winner of the Alcoholic Ready-to-Drink Category at this year's prestigious Quality Drinks Awards, recognising it as one of the most outstanding alcoholic drinks products on sale in the UK.

Global Brands accepted the accolade at the fourth annual Quality Drink Awards, hosted by wine guru, Angela Mount on 26 June at The Hurlingham Club in London.

VK Mojito and Saku Kuld from Global Brands' portfolio were shortlisted at the leading awards ceremony for the off-trade, but VK Pear was a clear favourite amongst an esteemed judging panel of freelance drinks writers, broadcasters and journalists.

Andrew Leibrick, Trade Marketing Executive for the VK range commented, "A lot of hard work has gone into developing and launching VK Pear. The feedback the product has received since its launch has all been extremely positive, it is fantastic to now be recognised by the industry with this Quality Drinks Award."

Global Brands have previously won Best Liqueur & Specialty Spirit for Corky's vodka flavoured shots at the 2006 Quality Drinks Awards.
