Global Brands is pleased to announce the release of a limited-edition bottling of Four Roses bourbon for the first time outside of the US. The 2010 Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch barrel strength has been released into the UK market and was launched at Hawksmoor Seven Dials in London last week.
Master distiller Jim Rutledge has created just 120 bottles of the premium spirit by marrying together three of the distillery's 10 different bourbons, aged 10, 11 and 15 years at barrel strength.
The 2010 Limited Edition Small Batch is a celebration of the uniqueness of Four Roses and Brand Ambassador, Dan Priseman said: "This is bourbon at its best, at cask strength and non-chill filtered. We've married three distinctly different 10, 11 and 15 year old bourbons together to create exceptionally smooth, rich and complex bourbon."
So if you are a true drinks connoisseur, then look no further than Four Roses Limited edition small batch – one of the finest Bourbons in the World. Available from The Whisky Exchange RRP: £69.95
Tasting notes
On the nose it is surprisingly reserved hinting at gentle and smooth bourbon, soft oak, vanilla fudge and honeysuckle aromas come through offering a balance of sweet and dry notes.
Subtle flavours of apricot and pear are balanced with hints of light spice, tobacco and honey as well as red berry notes hiding in the background. The creamy smooth finish is exceptionally long and satisfying with both a creamy mouth feel and a hint of dryness lingering and accentuating the oak and vanilla notes. A bourbon to savour.
